This is a pictorial journal of the holiday that the Trundle Family took during the Sydney Olympics in the northern summer of 2000. We shot more than 550 chemical photos (not digital), however a much smaller set is shown here. We began in Paris after a brief stop in Singapore, but then drove into the country around Versailles, Mortagne au Perche, St Malo, Carnac, Tours. We eventually relocated to London, then hired another car and drove to Legoland, and caught up with relatives north of London. We also visited Stonehenge, Sherwood Forest, York, the Lakes, dodged a crippling petrol strike, wandered into Scotland, including Loch Lomond, the West Coast, Loch Ness, the Highlands (where we met friends). We drove around Ivan's old haunts in the Badenoch region, and visited Alexei's birthplace, Inverness. We sailed, played golf, rode horses, walked, and socialised. Flew back to London, and celebrated Ivan's birthday in both London and New York. New York was fabulous, and we enjoyed being tourists. We left New York for the West Coast and Anaheim (Disneyland and Universal Studios), staying in a luxury hotel in Los Angeles. What a great trip!
